I would also add two extras for you: 1. Make daily use of the status update box, by letting people know what you are doing, entering your latest news or blog post. 2. Use some of the applications such as Slideshare, Boxnet and embedding video's (here is an easy guide to do that bit - http://bit.ly/4tT3k6) You are right about the groups - the more involved you get the more you will get out of them.
